Every Night on Separate Stars is a project based around the idea of romanticising big cities. Blurred imagery is used to create dream-like, nostalgic and poetic atmospheres for these abstract depictions of different capital cities.

The artist's appreciation for the small things within the city stem from herself being from a small village in the middle of England where there are no towering sky scrapers, no streets packed full of strangers, nor even the simpler things such as trees wrapped in lights.

"In art and dream, may you proceed with abandon."

- Patti Smith
